  To install the “RAC” lock you will need:

Pencil
Hand Drill
3/16" Drill Bit
3/8" Socket Wrench
Small Screwdriver
Ruler

INSTALLATION: For A Wood Foundation:

1) Locate a wall stud in your desired mounting location.
2) Use a ruler to draw a straight line along the center line of the wall stud.
3) Use a small screwdriver to remove the plastic endcap on the lock    end of the “RAC” (the base).
4) Remove the lock post from the “RAC” (including small pin & spring).
5) Place the base of the “RAC” on the line.
6) Use a pencil to draw circles where the two center holes are in the base (put base down).
7) Drill two holes (use 3/16” drill bit) at marked areas.
8) Place/center the base where the holes are drilled.
9) Use socket wrench to screw the lag bolts in the two drilled holes.
10) Place the small pin and spring into the bottom of the lock post.
11) Slide the lock post into the base (use the clip to push the small pin into the bottom of the lock post).
Pin will engage in the base when fully inserted, then lastly remove clip.
12) Place the plastic end cap on the lock end of the “RAC” (the base).
Remove the lock post from the “RAC” (including small pin & spring).

Place the base of the “RAC” on the line (reference step 2). Use socket wrench to screw the lag bolts in the two drilled holes. Remove the lock post from the “RAC” (including small pin & spring). Push in small pin & insert clip to retain small pin.
Slide the lock post into the base.
 
 

The RAC can be mounted on any surface, with virtually no assembly required. The RAC is used by law enforcement and government agencies, used by hunters, outdoorsmen, building professionals, preferred by homeowners and families with children and purchased by families to prevent theft and accidents.
